The National Research and Development Foundation (NRDF) is a private, non-governmental organisation established in 1983 to promote research and economic development in St. Lucia. The Foundation has emerged from the Caribbean Research Center, St. Lucia (1978-1983).

NRDF’s vision is “to become a premier business research and development institute” by consistently providing “stakeholders with opportunities to improve the socio-economic conditions through research, finance and high quality training.” The dedication to higher learning alongside with focus on its students’ achievements has made the name of NRDF synonymous with excellence.
NRDF is also a progression-oriented institution and provides St. Lucian students with qualification pathways from certificates all the way to doctoral degrees.
The majority of programmes on offer at NRDF are developed by relevant awarding bodies, including the Association of Business Executives (ABE), the University of the West Indies (UWI), the Chartered Institute of General Accountants (CGA), the University of Leicester, the Australian Institute of Business (AIB), and NRDF prides itself on providing excellent teaching and learning support that seeks to motivate its students.
NRDF’s teaching and assessment strategies are designed to cater to the needs of students at all levels in accordance with the requirements and standards of awarding bodies.
NRDF houses a training centre with a fully equipped conference room, audio-visual resources and research library. The conference room can comfortably accommodate sixty students. NRDF also rents additional classrooms from neighbouring premises.
At NRDF, students are welcome to use the institution’s computer stations with internet access as well as bring their own laptops and connect to the internet via Wi-Fi which is available all throughout NRDF’s premises.
As a student of AIB and NRDF, you will also be able to take advantage of the complimentary access to an extensive online library (ProQuest) as well as comprehensive complimentary course materials for each BBA and MBA subject.
While NRDF and AIB’s dedicated academic and operational staff will be with you all the way while you are undertaking your BBA or MBA, NRDF has also developed a life-cycle support mechanism that fosters a sense of belonging and autonomous learning for its students.
Prospective students at NRDF will have a chance to attend free Student Information Sessions conducted by AIB’s representatives or NRDF’s staff to advise them on the programmes, accreditations, fees and application process.
