Julien's first exposure to entrepreneurship was at the Strasbourg business school in France, while getting his Master in Commerce and running the student association. Since then, he has set up several businesses while working. His main venture focused on developing sustainable smartphone applications. His team of talented visionaries won the Apps4NSW award in 2010 for their achievement. Julien acquired an MBA from Queens University, NC, USA. He has 10 years of work experience in promoting, selling and implementing innovation at companies like Capgemini E&Y in France, and Telstra in Australia.
Now Julien is passionate about leveraging his practical experience to help student entrepreneurs grow their business while furthering the research on student entrepreneurship. Julien previously taught in the MBA program at the University of Technology Sydney while studying there for his PhD. He also taught in undergraduate programs at the University of the Sunshine Coast, Queensland and Swinburne Online, Victoria. Julien regularly coaches students on starting their business at Weekend Startups, Hackathons or other competitions and networking events. To help foster student entrepreneurship, he runs the StudentPreneur podcast where student entrepreneurs share their stories to motivate other students to start their entrepreneurial journey.
