Gibaran rebrands to AIB – The Practical Business School

On 1 July 2011, Gibaran Learning Group and its member institutes: Gibaran Graduate School of Management, Australian Institute of Business Administration, Tourism Institute of Australia, and Entrepreneurship Institute Australia consolidated into a single institution – Australian Institute of Business (AIB).

Commenting on this move, AIB Marketing Director Joel Abraham said, “this consolidation represents an important step for AIB as we continue to take our distinctive courses all over the globe”.

He adds “it will help drive consistent messaging and communication, bring together our alumni and stakeholder groups, and make brand recognition and identification clearer on a global basis.”

All current students of the former Gibaran Learning Group member institutes’ will have their enrolments transferred to AIB, while graduates will be contacted directly and through their teaching centres to exchange their parchment and transcripts for the new AIB version for a nominal charge.

Along with the new logo, AIB announced its new slogan: The Practical Business School. Commenting on the new slogan, Marketing Director Joel Abraham said “our focus has always been to create the closest link between leading business theory and current business practice through our work-applied learning method. We have now grown as an institution to take the term “practical to a whole new level.”

Mr Abraham refers to the AIB 5A approach:

• Applied – all of our programmes use work-applied learning which is a practical learning methodology that links theory to practice for immediate
  benefits for students and their organisations.

• Accelerated – our fast-track learning option is more practical for the working adult who needs immediate return on investment from their study, and
  has both personal and professional commitments.

• Accessible – by offering study on-campus, by distance, through one of our global Teaching centres, or mixed mode, our courses are more practical as
  they can be undertaken by anyone, anywhere.

• Affordable – our course fees, instalment options, and finance schemes, make studying our degrees financially practical.

• Accredited – in today’s business environment, it is only practical to undertake further study that is certified, recognised and respected. AIB and its
  courses are fully accredited and globally recognised.
