Maryam has over 15 years’ experience as a Business Analyst and Change Management Consultant and over eight years’ experience as a Lecturer and Researcher. She holds a PhD in Supply Chain Management from University of Malaya (UM). The central focus of her research was providing a basis for strategic sustainable supply chain design. By developing a Decision-Making Model for Prioritising Green Supply Chain Management Practices, Maryam made a significant contribution to both knowledge and practitioners. Her research results have been presented at international conferences and published in high impact journals.
Maryam has strong beliefs in “learning by doing”. By adopting the applied academics approach, she started teaching business and management topics to executive managers and MBA students in 2006 while working as a management consultant. Prior to joining AIB, Maryam was working at Flinders University as a sessional lecturer, teaching and coordinating diverse topics from foundational undergraduate courses such as Marketing Principles, Services Marketing and Business Forecasting to more advanced courses including Marketing Applications, Data Analysis for Decision Making, Project Management, and Applied Research Methods in Business. She has also been teaching the subject “Value and Supply Chain Management” as a visiting lecturer at IMI, Iran for a joint DBA program offered by University of Bordeaux, France, since 2016.
Being always keen to apply management theories to the real business world, Maryam has successfully completed several consulting projects in both private and public organisations and assisted companies to align their operations with their business strategies and bridge the gap between strategy and execution.
Maryam is currently a professional member of Institute of Management Consulting (IMC), Australia.
