With over 10 years consulting and executive education experience in operations and supply chain, Mohsen serves as a Senior Lecturer at the Australian Institute of Business (AIB) where he passionately coordinates/facilitates operations and supply chain management MBA courses. In AIB’s real-world classroom, Mohsen and his students genuinely help each other to learn (together) how the operations and supply chain has become a key source of competitive advantage and value creation in today’s globalized business environment, and how they can transform/improve organizations by rethinking the operations and supply chain and its strategic impact—long term, sustainable.

Dr. Varsei has served on the editorial board of the Academy of Management Review, which publishes ‘theoretical insights that advance our understanding of management and organizations’, and the Journal of Work-Applied Management, where ‘management insights generated at the nexus of practice and theory’ are shared (open access).

He has received honours and awards for research on supply chain management, including: Best Paper and Carolyn Dexter Award Finalist, Academy of Management Annual Meeting; Outstanding Paper of the Year, Emerald Award for Excellence; and, Best Doctoral Dissertation Award, Australian and New Zealand Academy of Management. Mohsen also received the Dean’s Teaching Commendation from the University of South Australia Business School where he studied his PhD and worked, prior to joining AIB in 2015.
