5 Minutes with MBA Graduate Andrew Crotty

AIB 2015 MBA Graduate Andrew was looking for a flexible study option to fit with his busy work schedule and home life, and he found that with AIB. We sat down with Andrew before the 2015 Graduation Ceremony at Adelaide Town Hall to discuss his MBA experience.

Why did you decide to study the AIB MBA?

I chose AIB because of the flexibility offered for shift work, which was fantastic. I could change my shifts to suit exams, really coordinate my life and family around the work, and the AIB structure supported that. It was fast paced, focused and the deadlines were clear-cut.

How is the MBA helping you to reach your management goals?

The MBA has given me a lot more tools and resources to achieve not only personal goals but business objectives. I’ve got a greater variety of options now to attack certain problems in the workplace. The Leadership subject has finitely opened my eyes to how I’m perceived and how people perceive me. For me, leadership has definitely been the resounding favourite topic.

Where are you hoping to take the MBA next?

For me, I’d like to see the MBA further support my operational knowledge now I have the theoretical background. As far as career progression, the sky is the limit as far as I’m concerned. It’s given me all the discipline, knowledge and empowerment that I need to do whatever I really like.
