5 minutes with MBA Graduate Greg Franks
Following his graduation from the AIB MBA programme, we spoke to Greg Franks about his career progression since the MBA and how he found the AIB flexible course structure.
How did you like the MBA programme?
The way the AIB programme was structured was great. The method of learning with the ability to see the starting point and the finish point, and knowing it was achievable in that timeframe really suited my lifestyle. The continuous flow of the subjects meant I was able to go with the momentum – it was a nice pattern of work and study.
Tell us about the networking experiences throughout the degree.
The networking was fantastic! We had a diverse range of people in our study group which was really good. We had people from the public sector, people who were in business themselves, engineers and an accountant. We were able to have a lot of different discussions at the table from a whole variety of backgrounds.
How has the AIB MBA helped your career?
Professionally, I have certainly made a number of improvements. I needed some knowledge to move to another level in terms of being able to perform, and that’s certainly been achieved. I wasn’t in my current job when I started studying, and the MBA actually helped me to win the job, particularly considering my boss had also done the same course.
