What drew you to completing an MBA from AIB?
I am CEO of the company called the IFB Integrity Group, and I’d been thinking about completing an MBA for quite some time to build my business knowledge. I have always been very busy in business, and the 12 Month MBA from AIB appealed to me as something I could do to continue my education without it being a massive interruption to my personal life, and my business life.
How did you find the experience of studying face-to-face?
It was great. The people I worked with throughout the programme were outstanding people, and I learned a lot from my classmates. We are all still good friends to this day, which has created a great new level to my business network.
Has completing the MBA changed your perspective of business at all?
It has given me a new appreciation for the skill sets of people with an MBA. When hiring people now, I am able to better understand what it is that an applicant has been through in order to achieve their MBA. If I’m looking to hire for a Senior Management position at some point, I would be seeking someone with those MBA skill sets.
Having now done an MBA, I understand what it takes to get there. So obviously if an MBA candidate comes to me, they are already well ahead of the pack. Because I know he or she has the ability to study, to work hard and commit.
