Important Information RE: COVID-19

As the situation concerning COVID-19 continues to heighten around the world, you may have questions about the impact it could have on your studies, who you can turn to for help, and what we’re doing at AIB to minimise its risk.

What we’re doing at AIB

It’s important to all of us at AIB that we’re responsible corporate citizens during this time. As a result, we’ve collectively made the decision that our onsite team in Adelaide (130 staff members) will work from home over the coming weeks, after which we’ll reassess the situation. It’s a preventative measure – we don’t have any staff who believe they may have been in contact with someone who has contracted the virus – but we’re doing our bit to minimise the spread and put the health of our people first, reflecting the public health authorities’ advice regarding social isolation and distancing.

What this means for your studies

As a digital business that delivers online education, we’re well set up for this kind of arrangement, and we assure you that your learning experience will not be impacted by our staff working remotely – it’s business as usual! All subjects will continue to be delivered as planned, webinars will run as scheduled, and our faculty are all on hand to assist.

The Principles that will guide our decision-making during COVID-19

Being open, understanding and transparent with our staff at AIB has always been one of our top priorities as business managers and leaders, and we hope that our students have also felt that through any contact they’ve had with our staff during this time. In the spirit of transparency, we would like to share something we’ve developed at AIB to help guide our team. They are our 8 principles for decision-making at AIB during the COVID-19 pandemicwhich you can view here. These 8 principles stem directly from AIB’s strategy, values and culture as we endeavour to continue to deliver a seamless, uninterrupted online education experience for our students. We want our community to know that we’ve got their back. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us to chat about your studies.
