What advice would you give to someone looking to study online?

I would give somebody advice to pursue real-world problems and look for real-world solutions. The MBA is a tool and it’s up to you to use that tool to actually solve some real problems.

Looking back on your journey what were the best parts and greatest challenges, and how did you overcome those challenges?

The best parts are always passing the exams, finishing a subject. But the challenge for me personally is integrating the MBA with your life. So, showing up for exams after work, during sickness, when you’re tired, when you’ve got other matters that you’re attending to, so integrating it in and coming out with a good result was the greatest challenge.

How do you think the MBA has helped in your change from a specialized radiation therapist role into a more developed role or broad business development role?

The MBA is a way to experience roles in the community that you wouldn’t otherwise if you’re in a specialist role. So, the MBA opens possibilities of real-world experience that often as a specialist clinician you don’t get.
