Tell us a bit about your role.

I’m an analyst (Freight Warehousing) at Colgate Palmolive Australia, based in Sydney, and my role focuses on data analysis. I do a lot of data analytics around freight and warehousing data, validating interpretations, which helps senior management make informed decisions. My world revolves around the figures.

Why did you decide to study an MBA?

My bachelor’s degree is in science and education, which is completely different to what I’m doing now in the business industry. I thought that I needed the backup of business knowledge and I saw that the MBA provides a very comprehensive, well-structured course where you can get an all round sense of business knowledge.

How are you applying the skills you learned from MBA?

The skills that I learned in MBA, especially while doing my assignments, helped me to enhance my skills in comparison, judgments and interpretation, which I do apply in my day-to-day role of analysis. For example, SWOT and PESTEL – these activities have enhanced my role.

How has the MBA helped your confidence?

My confidence has grown a lot. Having this business knowledge with you builds up your confidence. Talking in front of your team or talking in front of a group was not as easy for me as it is now. So, it has helped a lot with my confidence.
