Why did you decide to study an MBA?

I wanted to hold a qualification that I felt was relevant to the industry that I was working in and I also wanted to study something greater than just finance.

What did you get out of the MBA?

The MBA has given me a clear overall business perspective, greater than just the area that I was working in. I got to study areas such as strategy or HR that I was curious about but I never had the opportunity to study at this level before.

How are you applying the skills you’ve learned so far through the MBA?

Since completing the MBA, I’ve found that it’s really easy to apply my newfound skills to the role that I work in because they are quite relevant. Probably the biggest step-change I saw was in my written communication. I felt that the feedback that was provided to me really helped me get clear messages across to the people I was trying to communicate to.

What were the best aspects of being able to study online?

For me, the most attractive part of the AIB MBA was the flexibility that it offers. I have a really busy work life, but also my personal life. I had to find a program that I could do around the hours that suited me, which this course offered.
