Online Learning Facilitators (HR/Management & Financial Management)

ABOUT THE ROLE

Currently we are looking for casual Online Learning Facilitators to provide outstanding teaching experiences for our students in the following subject areas:

  • HR/Management (specifically – strategic Human Resource Management, Organisational Learning and Design, Managing Change, Managing People in a Global Context and Strategic Management)
  • Financial Management and Corporate Governance

An Online Learning Facilitator (OLF) will deliver online classes under the guidance of the Subject Co-ordinator, Director of Academic Operations, or delegate. OLFs will deliver classes using AIB content and assessments. OLFs will provide assistance and support to students in all academic matters relating to the subject, deliver webinars in the subject, mark subject assessments, and provide feedback to students about marked assessment items. OLFs are required to remain up-to-date in their discipline area by participating in professional development. In addition, all Online Facilitators must adhere to AIB standards and protocols.

ABOUT YOU

To be considered you are required to meet the following selection criteria:

  • PhD level qualification in business or business-related discipline; or Masters level qualification in business disciplines PLUS significant relevant professional and/or management experience within the same discipline
  • Experience in teaching subjects in one or more of the above disciplines
  • Experience teaching within the Australian higher education sector; previous online teaching experience is preferred.
  • Teaching experience at the post-graduate level; previous MBA teaching experience is preferred Customer service focus and strong people skills
  • Demonstrated high standard of verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Must have the right to work in Australia

Lecturer Level A (Teaching Scholar) first MBA Subject ‘Leadership’

Australian Institute of Business (AIB) is looking for Lecturer, Level A (Teaching Scholar) in our first MBA subject ‘Leadership’

ABOUT THE ROLE

Academics at AIB are involved in development of subject learning resources, design and review of assessments, contribution to on-line academic content, providing assistance and support to students in all academic matters relating to the Academic’s areas of expertise, marking and moderation, and updating of materials. Academics are expected to remain current in their field and to regularly refresh and incorporate contemporary issues into the curriculum. Academics are required to remain up-to-date with AIB standards and protocols by engaging in scholarship and participating in professional development, collegial forums and governance through committees, projects etc. Lecturers are required to provide input to Course and Program Reviews, revisions of academic policy and procedures and to contribute to the functionality and effectiveness of administrative processes.

ABOUT YOU

You will have experience in teaching Leadership subject (including developing/updating materials, designing assessments, moderation) as well as experience in teaching adult learners and post-graduate students. You will also have experience in teaching in the online environment and in Australian higher education. Evidence of positive student evaluations over a sustained period and demonstrated capability of quality and engaging webinars. You will have a PhD level qualification in business or business-related discipline and in addition to the person specification above, AIB will consider the cultural fit of all potential candidates for this position.

Lecturer Level C (Teaching Scholar) Digital Business Focus (0.4) FTE

Australian Institute of Business (AIB) is looking for Senior Lecturer – Level C (Teaching Scholar) Digital Business Focus (including Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security for Business and Business Analytics for Managers.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Lecturer will assist the Academic Dean and the Associate Dean Teaching and Learning in all student and academic matters. Academics at AIB are involved in the development of subject learning resources, design and review of assessments, contribution to on-line academic content, providing assistance and support to students in all academic matters relating to the Academic’s areas of expertise, marking and moderation, and updating of materials. In addition, Academics are required to remain up-to-date in their discipline area and in AIB standards and protocols by engaging in research and/or scholarship and participating in professional development. Academics are expected to participate in committees, seminars and forums and to take leadership roles in projects as they arise.

This position has the following key accountabilities:

This position reports directly to their relevant Associate Dean for the following key accountabilities and the achievement of Key Performance Indicators (which are outlined below).

  • Preparing/updating/reviewing learning materials, assessments and solutions to ensure a quality student learning experience
  • Providing coordination, academic guidance, mentoring, and supplying subject delivery packs to online learning facilitators (OLFs)
  • Interacting pro-actively with students through webinars and the learning management system (e.g. forum)
  • Providing academic support to students
  • Documenting face to face and telephone student interactions and update student system accordingly
  • Marking and moderating assessments and overseeing the marking by OLFs.
  • Assessing exemption / credit transfer requests
  • Sharing and presenting knowledge and expertise internally and/or externally at conferences as required
  • Participating in the development of student support initiatives
  • Supervising Research Higher Degree candidates
  • Actively participating in AIB’s Academic Scholarship Program

ABOUT YOU

Course Advisors

Our Course Advisors are at the core of our mission to make life changing education accessible, and these roles are all about helping every day working adults take the first step in making their career ambitions happen.

We currently have multiple opportunities to join our teams of Course Advisors consulting to our domestic or international markets. To do that, you will need to have extensive outbound sales experience, preferably in a high value consultative role. If joining our international Course Advisor teams, you will have the enthusiasm for early starts to your day, i.e., 5:30am, to meet the demand of world-wide time differences.

In addition, you will have:

  • Significant experience in outbound sales via phone, preferably in a complex, high value sales environment
  • Understanding of the consultative sales process
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills that enable effective and appropriate communication with people at all levels both internally and externally to AIB.
