Dr Lakma Algewatthage is an aspiring academic aims to make a positive impact within the higher education sector. Prior to joining AIB, Lakma served as a senior researcher at ‘Alliance for Social Impact’, The University of Queensland (UQ). She served at University of Ruhuna and University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka holding teaching and research roles. Lakma completed her doctoral degree (PhD) from UQ aiming for the development of firm-level ‘proactive marketing analytics capability’ in innovation based competitive advantage (big data context). She was awarded ‘First Class’, ‘Merit Award’ and ‘PhD thesis with no revisions’ for her academic excellence in undergraduate, postgraduate studies. She has a strong profile of peer reviewed journal articles and international conference papers representing her research expertise in entrepreneurship and marketing. Lakma aims to develop her academic calibre by strengthening her network across academia and industry. She is open to research collaborations, mentorships and business consultancy services.
