AIB welcomes Professor Ingrid Day and Jo Thomas to leadership team

The senior leadership team at AIB this month has grown with the addition of two new executives: Professor Ingrid Day this week started in the role of Academic Dean, and Jo Thomas has joined the company as Chief Operating Officer (COO). Both women have had sterling careers to date and are specialists in their respective fields. We are delighted to welcome them to the AIB family!

Professor Ingrid Day joins AIB from the University of Adelaide, where she was the Executive Director of Teaching, Learning and Student Experience in the Faculty of the Professions. Professor Day has also held senior Academic roles at the University of South Australia, Macquarie University and Massey University in New Zealand.

As an advocate of modern teaching and learning practices, Professor Day’s skill set and passion for education make her the perfect fit for AIB. As Academic Dean, Professor Day will lead a large team of Academics and digital learning specialists responsible for designing and delivering high quality higher education programs using the latest interactive learning platforms. She will also importantly oversee all academic governance systems, processes and procedures.

Professor Day will work collaboratively with our CEO Paul Wappett and Chair of the Academic Board Hilary Winchester to ensure that every course, subject and learning activity offered to students is engaging, practical and relevant to the workplace.

A growth specialist, Jo has a customer-centric approach to business operations and has experience in both online and offline customer offerings. She is an authentic leader and will oversee the entire student experience at AIB, including student recruitment, student support and marketing initiatives.

Professor Day and Jo Thomas commenced in their roles on November 12, and we’re already enjoying working with these highly accomplished women to deliver life-changing experiences for our students.
