Dr Parth Patel

Dr Parth Patel is an Associate Professor whose research and teaching span the fields of global work, international organisations, wellbeing, and society. With academic experience across Australia and the UK, his work adopts an interdisciplinary perspective to examine the human dimensions of global, organisational, and societal change. 

At AIB, Parth teaches and coordinates subjects in International Business, Managing People in a Global Context, Strategic Human Resource Management and Managing Change. He also contributes to academic leadership and research development through his role within the Academic Research Team as a Research Coordinator, where he supports higher degree research candidates across the candidature lifecycle and contributes to strengthening research culture and engagement within the institution. 

Parth additionally serves as Chair of AIB’s AHRI Advisory Committee, providing strategic guidance on curriculum development, industry engagement, and continuous improvement for the MBA (HR Management) program. His work in this role supports the integration of contemporary workforce challenges, global perspectives, and professional relevance into business education. 

His research explores the intersections of global work, mobility, wellbeing, and international organisational systems. More broadly, his scholarship examines how globalisation, institutional environments, social change, and technological transformation shape work, organisations, and human experiences across international contexts. 

His current research interests include: 

• Global work, mobility and transnational lives 

• Work, wellbeing and human sustainability 

• Technology and its human/social implications 

• International organisations, society and social change 

• Migration, identity and cross-border workforce experiences 

• Workforce resilience, organisational systems and the future of work
