AIB 2025 CEO Magazine Rankings

With 10 new online MBAs making their debut, 2025 was the most competitive year for online education. Unlike many institutions that have only recently offered online learning, AIB has been leading the way as Australia’s largest online MBA provider since 2018*. Our consistent Tier One MBA program recognition reflects the quality of our program, and why AIB remains a trusted choice for ambitious leaders worldwide.

Reflecting on the achievement of our globally ranked MBA, Academic Dean Professor Darius Pfitzner shared:

To be recognised for the fourth year running as a Tier One institution, while securing a Top 25 global and Top 10 national ranking is a powerful validation of our mission. For 40 years, AIB has focused on transforming lives through accessible and practical business education. These results reaffirm our impact and inspire us to keep innovating for our students and alumni around the world.

How AIB excels

Quality of faculty

AIB’s faculty combine academic excellence with real-world business experience. In 2025, CEO Magazine ranked faculty quality as the highest-weighted criterion in its ranking methodology, reflecting the importance of teaching excellence in student outcomes.

Currently, the majority of AIB’s inhouse faculty hold advanced academic qualifications such as a PhD, DBA or subject-specific credentials such as a CPA. Additionally, nearly half of our faculty have over ten years of professional experience.

Quality underpins everything we do at AIB. Each subject is carefully designed and regularly reviewed with input from both leading academics in their fields, as well as input from industry leaders and peak bodies (e.g. Australian Human Resource Institute).

International diversity

At AIB, international perspectives are built into the learning experience. Our global community consists of more than 20,000 students and alumni from over 100 countries.

Exposure to international case studies and classmates gives AIB students the chance to compare business practices across different markets. The diversity of students and academics also helps them build valuable networks across multiple countries and industries. This global perspective prepares students for the realities of modern business, where international operations and multicultural teams have become standard practice.

I was happily surprised that studying online is not lonely at all. I really liked the diversity of it. There are people from around the world that participate in this program. It’s not just the material that you work with, but you also learn a lot from the people around you, from different cultures, different backgrounds, and different age groups.

Class size

Class size is an important factor in delivering a high-quality MBA experience at AIB. Each class has a dedicated Online Learning Facilitator (OLF) to ensure students benefit from individual attention from experienced faculty, while limited numbers encourage high levels of interaction, relationship building and learning. Classes are also structured with flexibility in mind, catering to students studying across multiple time zones.

When attending my weekly webinar, I have chance to speak, I can listen to others and the teachers make you feel included. Unlike a traditional university where you just attend a lecture, get spoken at and then leave. Another advantage over traditional institutions is that I can contact my Online Learning Facilitator with a question, and get an answer back within 24 hours.

Accreditation

Our courses are accredited by the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA) within the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF). This means our qualifications are equivalent to those issued by Australian universities, meeting the highest education standards in Australia. We are also recognised by a number of international government departments, agencies and registries.

Accreditation and Memberships Logos

When I decided to pursue my MBA there were a few crucial components that I considered: accreditation in Canada, price, pace and reviews. AIB’s MBA was perfect! Through online study I am able to complete courses at my own pace and take breaks when needed, while gaining a reputable MBA that is accredited in Canada.
