Dr Imad Shah

Dr. Imad brings over 20 years of international teaching experience to AIB, specializing in university-level education and research. With a Ph.D. in Entrepreneurial Leadership from the University of Essex and a strong focus on qualitative case-study methodology, he has made significant contributions to the academic community and research scholarship by publishing over 25 research articles in high-impact, high-quartile international journals. He has also co-authored a book chapter on Leadership and Employee Pro-environmental behaviour published by Edward Elgar Publishing. His scholarly work has garnered over 750 citations, with an h-index of 10 and an i10-index of 11, underscoring his expertise and influence in the field. As part of his dedication to advancing academic knowledge, Imad actively reviews for prestigious journals.

Imad is a student-centred educator who believes in fostering a passion for self-learning and inspiring students to seek knowledge beyond the classroom. Aligned with AIB’s mission of being a Practical Business School, Imad’s teaching philosophy is dedicated to empowering students to become both practical learners and independent thinkers. He encourages students to not only grasp theoretical concepts but also develop practical skills that are directly applicable to real-world scenarios.

Beyond his research achievements, Imad has demonstrated a deep commitment to mentoring and developing future scholars by supervising numerous Ph.D. and M.Phil. candidates. He has also secured project grants and served as a research and report writing consultant for various international agencies. His experience as a BS Coordinator has further enriched his understanding of academic administration and curriculum development, enhancing his ability to contribute to institutional growth and innovation.

Through his research skills, effective communication, and teaching prowess, he strives to make a positive impact in his field driven by a passion for knowledge dissemination.
