Assessment

The New Product Design MBA subject takes students through a comprehensive five-phase journey that covers every aspect of new product development. In the first assessment, students are required to create a written report introducing the first three phases of a new product, service, experience, or idea. The report must be tailored to either a local or an international market and presented to a familiar organisation. In the second assessment, students move on to the latter stages of the development process, where they produce a report and presentation covering sales forecasting, prototyping, and launching the product or service. The two assessments are interconnected, offering students a complete experience from initial idea generation to market launch.

The marketing units of the MBA have been incredibly helpful for what I do every day. Using subjects like New Product Design, Operations Management and Financial Management, for example, I’ve been able to bring the process of bringing new products to market down by a month, which productivity-wise is a lot of money to organisations.
