Why did you decide to study an MBA?
I decided to study an MBA to increase my confidence level when meeting clients and when consulting. And being someone more junior in the role, I thought it would help me act as a more authority figure.
What were you afraid of when you first started the MBA?
I was a little bit hesitant when I first started that it would be redundant to my degree I did back in Finance. I thought the material would have been very similar and I wouldn’t perhaps learn as much as I thought I would. But, in specialising in Human Resource Management, this added a diversification to my skill set.
How has the AIB MBA helped you in any type of career progression or career success?
The AIB MBA program has helped me with two different aspects. The first being in marketing and helping me strengthen my brand and deliver more value to my clients. And on a second note, having specialised in HR, I think that that is important to help me lead my team and everyone aligned and working together and motivated to grow our sales force.
